Groove Life was born in the Alaskan wilderness. Husband, father, and Adventure Guide Peter Goodwin realized his lifestyle demanded gear that could keep up.
Working in a freezing garage in Port Alsworth, AK, Peter worked relentlessly for six months trying to perfect the original Groove Ring. Having no idea what success this would eventually bring, his only focus was to somehow provide for his growing family.

Wrap a string around the finger, mark where the ends meet, and then lay it flat next to a ruler to measure the length in inches. Your ring size should land somewhere between 2 and 3 inches, including a possible fraction, like 2 ¼.

Print the page at 100% in your printer settings. If you don’t currently have a ring, you can cut out our ring sizer on the page and measure your finger that way.

- Are men’s ring sizes different from women’s?
- Men’s ring sizes are not different from women’s ring sizes. The scale for ring sizes is the same for both men and women.
- Is the size of my silicone ring the same as the size of my metal ring?
- Yes, the size of silicone rings are based on the same size as metal rings, however, since silicone rings will relax over time, you may want to purchase a Groove Ring® one size smaller than your metal ring.
- Are UK ring sizes different from American ring sizes?
- Yes, ring sizes in the UK (England) are different from American ring sizes. So if you have a size 8 ring in America then your ring size in Great Britain is the letter P.
- Is my ring size the same as my shoe size?
- No, your ring size is not the same as your shoe size, even though the numbers may be similar.
- Is my belt size the same as my waist size?
- Your belt size may not be the same as your waist size. In fact, most experts recommend adding 2 inches to your waist size to get your average belt size.
- Is my belt size the same as my pant size?
- Your belt size may not be the same as your pant size. If the waist size is 36, lets say, then simply add two inches to that and you have your belt size, 38.
